Edited by: Infinity Ziona on 06/07/2006 08:54:55 I play solo too and I whine a lot about the difficulties of soloing.
However I dont think its realistic to own my own Titan or Mothership though I'm certainly entertaining the possibility of getting a dread or carrier with cold hard isk and using it to be mean to people in .1 - 0.3.
I dont think its feasible to have a POS unless you have the isk to hire somebody to keep it fueled. If your rich you could certainly pay premium prices for delivered fuel to certain people who want to make a good profit.
So most of the things you COULD do in the game anyhow.
What really fecks me off about CCP and solo players is the:
1) No bubbles or spheres in empire. Smart bubbles that only trap neutrals in .1 to .4 and only war targets in .5 - 1.0 would be a fair tradeoff imo.
2) No logistics drones, if we cant use them on ourselves, then they should be restricted to logistics ships so players cant use them on each other and still pwn.
Quite a few other things that are unnecessary to nerf the solo players and boost the grouper.

Chess is fun and you dont help the other guy right? MMO doesnt mean sharing with others it means playing with others (including against them).

You guys think this is a single player game that also has multiplayer.
It's not. It's a multiplayer game that has a noobie zone. You have been living in the noobie zone your entire eve career.
Please, won't you come out into the bright universe and join the real game?
How could someone think that its a 'single player game that also has multiplayer'? Thats a paradoxical sentence and makes no sense.
Ive been in stain alliance, carebear corps, pirate corps, missioned, mined, solo pirated in Curse and Stain as well as the GWildlands and spent the last year of my play solo war deccing corporations. Even so Im not so arrogant to think my playstyle is the 'real game'. Thats retarded sorry.

Back on topic, I maintain that there's no reason for solo players to have an easy way to obtain things that are currently difficult for corporations to achieve. It's not a punishment for solo players, it's a reward for cooperation. A POS requires hours and hours of work to fuel and use every week. A team of ten guys often have trouble mining the ice, buying the charters and managing the thing's operation and defense. If it was made easy enough for a single player to own, operate and derive benefit from one, every three-man corp in EvE would have a half-dozen of the things sprinkled around the galaxy. They're really kind of a pain in the butt.
Same thing with Capital ships. Once you've raised the cash for a carrier, what do you intend to do with it? The kind of situations that those ships are designed to address do not arise in the life of a solo player.
You aren't punished for your choice of lifestyle any more than an empire miner is being punished by the lack of Crokite.
Mass killing spree in a low empire system till it gets blown up... what else
